We could just be reading a simple typo, but the support page was quickly taken down by the company, and recent rumors already suggested Microsoft is readying to launch an Intel-based Surface tablet at the May 20th event together with Surface mini. According to a CNET report the Intel-based Surface tablet will house a new Intel Haswell processor and not an Atom chip. And looking at Surface Pro 2 tablets run Intel Haswell processors, it’s not hard to think we could be seeing a Surface Pro 3 instead of a “Surface Pro mini”. It also appears that Surface Pro 3 could be a larger device, as new information from technology analyst Rhoda Alexander says: We could be looking at a more productivity tablet aimed to professionals, but it wouldn’t be crazy for Microsoft some sort of Ultrabook instead of another tablet. We’re only days away from the Surface event, and one thing is clear… that Microsoft will reveal really interesting devices.
